Infectious Diseases Act
(Amendment of First and Second Schedules)
Notification 2020
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 70 of the Infectious Diseases Act, the Minister for Health makes the following Notification:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Notification is the Infectious Diseases Act (Amendment of First and Second Schedules) Notification 2020 and comes into operation on 29 January 2020.
Amendment of First Schedule
2.  The First Schedule to the Infectious Diseases Act is amended by inserting, immediately after item 34, the following item:
“35.  2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV).”.
Amendment of Second Schedule
3.  The Second Schedule to the Infectious Diseases Act is amended by inserting, immediately after item 5, the following item:
“6.  2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV).”.
