Restriction of Speed (Roads) (Amendment No. 5) Notification 2005

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 63(2) of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Restriction of Speed (Roads) (Amendment No. 5) Notification 2005 and shall come into operation on 1st November 2005.

Amendment of Second Schedule

2. The Second Schedule to the Restriction of Speed (Roads) Notification (N 6) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the item relating to “Alexandra Road” and substituting the following item:

“Alexandra Road.”;

(b)

by inserting, immediately below the item relating to “Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8”, the following item:

“Balestier Road — that part of Balestier Road between Lavender Street and Moulmein Road.”;

(c)

by inserting, immediately below the item relating to “Buangkok Green”, the following item:

“Bukit Timah Road — that part of Bukit Timah Road between Newton Circus and Serangoon Road.”;

(d)

by inserting, immediately below the item relating to “Canberra Road”, the following items:

“Cantonment Link.

Cantonment Road.”;

(e)

by inserting, immediately below the item relating to “Changi South Avenue 3”, the following item:

“Chin Swee Road.”;

(f)

by inserting, immediately below the item relating to “Choa Chu Kang Road”, the following item:

Amendment of Third Schedule

3. The Third Schedule to the Restriction of Speed (Roads) Notification is amended —

(a)

by deleting the item relating to “Commonwealth Avenue West” and substituting the following item:

“Commonwealth Avenue West — that part of Commonwealth Avenue West between Clementi Road and North Buona Vista Road.”;

(b)

by inserting, immediately below the item relating to “Dunearn Road”, the following item:

“Esplanade Drive.”;

(c)

by inserting, immediately below the item relating to “Gambas Avenue”, the following item:

“Holland Road — that part of Holland Road —

(a)	between Ulu Pandan Road and Holland Grove Road; and
(b)	between Farrer Road and Napier Road.”;

(d)

by inserting, immediately below the item relating to “Jurong West Avenue 4”, the following item:

“Keppel Road — that part of Keppel Road between Telok Blangah Road and lamp post No. 8.”;

(e)

by deleting the item relating to “Nicoll Highway” and substituting the following items:
