Extradition Act

Extradition (International Convention for Suppression of Terrorist Bombings) Notification 2010
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4(1)(b) of the Extradition Act read with section 6(5) of the Terrorism (Suppression of Bombings) Act (Cap. 324A), the Minister for Law hereby makes the following Notification:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Notification may be cited as the Extradition (International Convention for Suppression of Terrorist Bombings) Notification 2010 and shall come into operation on 21st November 2010.
Application of Part II of Extradition Act to Convention countries
2.—(1)  For the purposes of the extradition of persons accused of or convicted of a relevant offence of any Convention country specified in the Schedule, Part II of the Extradition Act shall apply in relation to that Convention country, subject to section 6(6) of the Terrorism (Suppression of Bombings) Act.
(2)  In this paragraph, “Convention country” and “relevant offence” have the meanings given to those expressions in sections 2 and 6(8), respectively, of the Terrorism (Suppression of Bombings) Act.
