Parking Places (Parking of Heavy Vehicles)
(Amendment) Rules 2017

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 8 of the Parking Places Act, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Parking Places (Parking of Heavy Vehicles) (Amendment) Rules 2017 and come into operation on 20 December 2017.

Amendment of rule 5

2. Rule 5 of the Parking Places (Parking of Heavy Vehicles) Rules (R 4) is amended —

(a)

by deleting paragraphs (2) and (3) and substituting the following paragraphs:

“(2) Every application for a vehicle parking certificate must be in such form as the Superintendent may require and a fee of $6 is payable.

(3) Where payment of the fee mentioned in paragraph (2) is tendered in a form other than cash and the payment is subsequently dishonoured or otherwise not effected, an additional fee for processing the dishonoured payment of $32.10 (inclusive of GST) is payable.”; and

(b)

by deleting the words “paragraph (2)” in paragraph (4) and substituting the words “paragraphs (2) and (3)”.

Deletion of Schedule

3. The Schedule to the Parking Places (Parking of Heavy Vehicles) Rules is deleted.
