Road Traffic
(Recovery of Vehicle Licence Fees and Costs)
(Amendment) Rules 2017

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 34 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Transport makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Road Traffic (Recovery of Vehicle Licence Fees and Costs) (Amendment) Rules 2017 and come into operation on 20 December 2017.

Amendment of rule 1

2. Rule 1 of the Road Traffic (Recovery of Vehicle Licence Fees and Costs) Rules (R 30) (called in these Rules the principal Rules) is amended by deleting the words “and Costs”.

Amendment of rule 2

3. Rule 2 of the principal Rules is amended —

(a)	by deleting the words “section 30(3)” in paragraph (1) and substituting the words “section 30(1)”;
(b)	by deleting “$15” in paragraph (2) and substituting “$20”;
(c)	by deleting paragraph (4); and
(d)	by deleting the words “and fees for towing and transportation of vehicles” in the marginal note.

Deletion of rule 3

4. Rule 3 of the principal Rules is deleted.

Amendment of First Schedule

5. The First Schedule to the principal Rules is amended by deleting “19” and substituting “20”.

Deletion of Second Schedule

6. The Second Schedule to the principal Rules is deleted.
