(Work Pass Exemptions for Seamen and
Full-time Students) (Amendment)
Notification 2021

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act, the Minister for Manpower makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification is the Employment of Foreign Manpower (Work Pass Exemptions for Seamen and Full‑time Students) (Amendment) Notification 2021 and comes into operation on 20 September 2021.

Amendment of Part I of Schedule

2. Part I of the Schedule to the Employment of Foreign Manpower (Work Pass Exemptions for Seamen and Full‑time Students) Notification (N 2) is amended —

(a)

by deleting items 33 and 45; and

(b)

by inserting, immediately after item 53, the following items:

“54.	EHL Campus (Singapore)

55.	Any independent school, special education school or specified educational institution within the meanings given to those terms in regulation 2(1) of the Education Endowment and Savings Schemes (Edusave Pupils Fund) Regulations (Cap. 87A, Rg 1)

56.	Millennia Institute

57.	Mountbatten Vocational School”.

Amendment of Part II of Schedule

3. Part II of the Schedule to the Employment of Foreign Manpower (Work Pass Exemptions for Seamen and Full‑time Students) Notification is amended —

(a)

by deleting items 12 and 22; and

(b)

by inserting, immediately after item 24, the following items:

“25.	EHL Campus (Singapore)

26.	Any special education school or specified educational institution within the meanings given to those terms in regulation 2(1) of the Education Endowment and Savings Schemes (Edusave Pupils Fund) Regulations

27.	Mountbatten Vocational School”.
