(State Visit by Pope —
Exemption) Order 2024
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Foreign National Emblems (Control of Display) Act 1949, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Order:
Citation
1.  This Order is the Foreign National Emblems (Control of Display) (State Visit by Pope — Exemption) Order 2024.
Exemption
2.  Section 3 of the Act does not apply to the display of the flag of the Vatican City, if the flag is displayed —
(a)in connection with a state visit by Pope Francis;
(b)at any time during the period from 11 September 2024 to 13 September 2024 (both dates inclusive); and
(c)at any of the following venues:
(i)Catholic Junior College;
(ii)the part of the Changi Airport Connector (approximately 1.80 kilometres in length) starting from Changi Airport VIP Complex towards Jurassic Mile;
(iii)Changi Airport VIP Complex;
(iv)National University Cultural Centre Auditorium;
(v)Parliament House;
(vi)Singapore Sports Hub;
(vii)St Francis Xavier Retreat Centre;
(viii)St Theresa’s Home.
