Customs
(Duties) (Exemption) (Amendment No. 2)
Order 2011

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 13(1) of the Customs Act, the Minister for Finance hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Customs (Duties) (Exemption) (Amendment No. 2) Order 2011 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2012.

Amendment of Schedule

2. Part I of the Schedule to the Customs (Duties) (Exemption) Order (O 5) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “, and in the case of petroleum removed from the premises licensed under the Petroleum Act (Chapter 229), the certificate shall be endorsed by the retailer or the petroleum company” in paragraph (c) in column (4) of item 2;

(b)

by inserting, immediately after the word “Petrol” in paragraph (2) in column (3) of item 3, the words “or CNG”;

(c)

by deleting the words “and endorsed by the owner of the retail service station licensed under the Petroleum Act (Chapter 229) or by the petroleum company” in the paragraph in column (4) against paragraph (2) in column (3) of item 3;

(d)

(e)

by deleting the word “and” at the end of sub-paragraph (ii) of paragraph (c) in column (4) of item 9;

(f)

by inserting, immediately after paragraph (c) in column (4) of item 9, the following paragraph:

“(ca)

that in the case of CNG, it shall be used solely in the official vehicles of NAAFI and the organisation; and”;

(g)

by deleting the words “petrol and high speed diesel” in paragraph (1) in column (3) of item 10 and substituting the words “petrol, high speed diesel and CNG”;

(h)

by inserting, immediately after the words “and products” in paragraph (2) in column (3) of item 13, the words “, or CNG”;

(i)

by inserting, immediately after the word “Petroleum” in column (3) of item 25, the words “or CNG”; and

(j)

by inserting, immediately after the word “petroleum” wherever it appears in paragraphs (a) and (b) in column (4) of item 25, the words “or CNG”.
