(Amendment) Regulations 2023

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 337(1) of the Securities and Futures Act 2001, the Monetary Authority of Singapore makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1.—(1) These Regulations are the Securities and Futures (Offers of Investments) (Exemption for AIA Agency Share Purchase Plan 2021) (Amendment) Regulations 2023 and, except for regulation 3, come into operation on 7 November 2023.

(2) Regulation 3 is deemed to have come into operation on 31 December 2021.

Amendment of regulation 2

2. In the Securities and Futures (Offers of Investments) (Exemption for AIA Agency Share Purchase Plan 2021) Regulations 2021 (G.N. No. S 100/2021), in regulation 2, in the definition of “AIA Agency Share Purchase Plan 2021”, after “1 February 2021”, insert “and ending on 31 January 2031, and includes any subsequent version of that plan as amended and adopted by the Company at any time between 1 February 2021 and 31 January 2031 (both dates inclusive),”.

Amendment of regulation 3

3. In the Securities and Futures (Offers of Investments) (Exemption for AIA Agency Share Purchase Plan 2021) Regulations 2021, in regulation 3(1), replace “Part XIII” with “Part 13”.
