Housing and Development (Design-build-and-sell Scheme — Form of Contract) (Amendment) Rules 2007

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 65T(2) of the Housing and Development Act, the Minister for National Development hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Housing and Development (Design-Build-and-Sell Scheme — Form of Contract) (Amendment) Rules 2007 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2008.

Amendment of Schedule

2. Form A in the Schedule to the Housing and Development (Design-Build-and-Sell Scheme — Form of Contract) Rules 2006 (G. N. No. S 508/2006) is amended —

(a)	by deleting the words “6 weeks” in clause 2.2 and substituting the words “8 weeks”; and
(b)	by deleting the words “3 weeks” in clause 4 and substituting the words “4 weeks”.

Saving and transitional provision

3. An option which has been granted by an approved developer prior to the commencement of these Rules to any person for the purchase of any housing accommodation to be sold by an approved developer under Part IVB of the Act shall continue to be in force as if these Rules had not been made until the option has lapsed or has been exercised by the intending purchaser.
