Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (Scale of Dues, Rates and General Fees) (Amendment) Notification 2004
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 27(7) of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Act, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, hereby makes the following Notification:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Notification may be cited as the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (Scale of Dues, Rates and General Fees) (Amendment) Notification 2004 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2005.
Amendment of Schedule
2.  Part I of the Schedule to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (Scale of Dues, Rates and General Fees) Notification (N 2) is amended —
(a)by deleting sub-paragraph (C) of paragraph 1(a) and substituting the following sub-paragraph:
(c)if a passenger vessel of 300 GT or more makes 6 or more calls at any PSA terminal, or the Singapore Cruise Centre, under the same agency in respect of the vessel which operates in Singapore within a period of 6 months from the month in which the first call is made, a rebate of 20% of the port dues payable in respect of the vessel under this sub-paragraph is to be granted for all such calls made by the vessel within that 6-month period.”;
(b)by deleting “$2.20” in paragraph 1(b) (i) and substituting “$1.80”;
(c)by deleting “$1” in paragraph 1(c) (iv) and substituting “50 cents”; and
(d)by deleting sub-paragraph (i) of paragraph 4(1) and substituting the following sub-paragraph:
(i)a charge of $20 per 10 GT or part thereof shall be levied on any harbour craft (except a harbour craft used for land reclamation work in Singapore) operating as a sea-going vessel on every occasion the craft leaves the port limits; and”.
