Environmental Public Health
(Licensable Aquatic Facilities)
(Amendment) Regulations 2024
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 111 of the Environmental Public Health Act 1987, the National Environment Agency, with the approval of the Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Environmental Public Health (Licensable Aquatic Facilities) (Amendment) Regulations 2024 and come into operation on 1 October 2024.
Amendment of regulation 7
2.  In the Environmental Public Health (Licensable Aquatic Facilities) Regulations 2021 (G.N. No. S 644/2021), in regulation 7(1)(a)(i), before “water”, insert “potable”.
New regulation 8A
3.  In the Environmental Public Health (Licensable Aquatic Facilities) Regulations 2021, after regulation 8, insert —
Notification of change in particulars
8A.—(1)  The aquatic facility licensee for a licensable aquatic facility must notify the Director‑General, in the form and manner that the Director‑General requires, within 30 days after any of the following occurs:
(a)there is a change in the name or contact details of the aquatic facility licensee;
(b)there is a change in the address of the premises in or on which the licensable aquatic facility is located;
(c)the aquatic facility licensee ceases to be the owner or occupier (as the case may be) of the premises in or on which the licensable aquatic facility is located.
(2)  A person that contravenes paragraph (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction —
(a)for a first offence, to a fine not exceeding $5,000; and
(b)for a second or subsequent offence, to a fine not exceeding $10,000.”.
