Citation and commencement |
1. This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Power-Assisted Bicycles) (Exemption from Part II) Order 2004 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2005. |
Definition |
2. In this Order, “power-assisted bicycle” means a bicycle that is equipped with an electric motor and that may be propelled by muscular power or by the electric motor with which it is equipped, or by both. |
Exemption |
3. Part II of the Act shall not apply to any person who rides a power-assisted bicycle on a road if the power-assisted bicycle —
