Planning Act
(Chapter 232)
Planning (Development) (Amendment) Rules 2005
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 61 of the Planning Act, the Minister for National Development hereby makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Planning (Development) (Amendment) Rules 2005 and shall come into operation on 5th December 2005.
Amendment of rule 3
2.  Rule 3 of the Planning (Development) Rules (R 3) is amended —
(a)by inserting, immediately before the words “plan and drawing” wherever they appear in paragraph (2), the word “document,”; and
(b)by inserting, immediately after paragraph (2), the following paragraphs:
(2A)  The document, drawing or plan referred to in paragraph (2) and any calculation, measurement, statement, information or particular contained therein and in the application referred to in paragraph (1) shall be made, prepared, set out, shown or indicated in accordance with such guidelines as may be issued by the competent authority, including guidelines on planning, conservation, measurement and calculation of floor area, allowable types of development, use quantum, building and buffer setback, site coverage and building height, as may be amended from time to time.
(2B)  Where any document, drawing or plan referred to in paragraph (2) and any calculation, measurement, statement, information or particular contained therein and in the application referred to in paragraph (1) is not made, prepared, set out, shown or indicated in accordance with the guidelines referred to in paragraph (2A), the applicant or the qualified person acting on behalf of the applicant shall give the competent authority notice of the inconsistency in writing at the time of submission of the application.”.
