Parliamentary Elections
(Prescribed Date) Order 2019

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5(4) of the Parliamentary Elections Act, the Prime Minister makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order is the Parliamentary Elections (Prescribed Date) Order 2019 and comes into operation on 1 February 2019.

Prescribed date

2. For the purposes of section 5(1), (1A) and (2) of the Act, the prescribed date is 1 February in any year instead of 1 July.

Revocation

3. The Parliamentary Elections (Prescribed Date) Order 2017 (G.N. No. S 286/2017) is revoked.
