Central Provident Fund
(Medisave Account Transfers)
(Amendment) Regulations 2017

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 77(1)(ka) of the Central Provident Fund Act, the Minister for Manpower, after consulting with the Central Provident Fund Board, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Central Provident Fund (Medisave Account Transfers) (Amendment) Regulations 2017 and come into operation on 1 January 2018.

Amendment of regulation 2

2. Regulation 2 of the Central Provident Fund (Medisave Account Transfers) Regulations 2016 (G.N. No. S 721/2016) is amended by deleting the definition of “prescribed amount” and substituting the following definition:

“ “prevailing retirement sum” has the same meaning as in the Central Provident Fund (Retirement Sum Topping‑Up Scheme) Regulations (Rg 3).”.

Amendment of regulation 3

3. Regulation 3 of the Central Provident Fund (Medisave Account Transfers) Regulations 2016 is amended by deleting the words “prescribed amount” in paragraphs (1)(b) and (2)(a)(ii) and substituting in each case the words “prevailing retirement sum”.
