Registered Designs (Excluded Day) Rules 2002

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 64 and 74 of the Registered Designs Act, the Minister for Law, after consultation with the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore, hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation

1. These Rules may be cited as the Registered Designs (Excluded Day) Rules 2002.

Excluded day

2. In addition to the excluded days set out in rule 60 of the Registered Designs Rules (R 1, 2002 Ed.), 11th February 2002 shall be an excluded day for all purposes under the Act and the Registered Designs Rules except for —

(a)	any inspection of the Register under section 55 of the Act; and
(b)	the making of any application for registration of a registered design, not being an application in which a claim for a right of priority under section 12 or 13 of the Act is made.

Hours of business

3.—(1) For the purposes of rule 2, the Registry shall be open to the public on 11th February 2002 between 8.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m.

(2) The Registry shall be deemed to be closed between 12.00 a.m. and 8.30 a.m. and between 5.30 p.m. and midnight on 11th February 2002.
