Merchant Shipping Act
(Amendment of Schedule)
Order 2019

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 143 of the Merchant Shipping Act, the Minister for Transport makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order is the Merchant Shipping Act (Amendment of Schedule) Order 2019 and comes into operation on 29 December 2019 at 12.01 a.m.

Amendment of Schedule

2. Paragraph 1 of Article 6 of the Schedule to the Merchant Shipping Act is amended —

(a)	by deleting the words “2 million” in sub‑paragraph (a)(i) and substituting the words “3.02 million”;
(b)	by deleting “800” in sub‑paragraph (a)(ii) and substituting “1,208”;
(c)	by deleting “600” in sub‑paragraph (a)(ii) and substituting “906”;
(d)	by deleting “400” in sub‑paragraphs (a)(ii) and (b)(ii) and substituting in each case “604”;
(e)	by deleting the words “1 million” in sub‑paragraph (b)(i) and substituting the words “1.51 million”;
(f)	by deleting “300” in sub‑paragraph (b)(ii) and substituting “453”; and
(g)	by deleting “200” in sub‑paragraph (b)(ii) and substituting “302”.
