Poisons (Amendment) Rules 1998

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 20(1) of the Poisons Act, the Minister for Health hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Poisons (Amendment) Rules 1998 and shall come into operation on 27th February 1998.

Amendment of Ninth Schedule

2. The Ninth Schedule to the Poisons Rules (R 1) is amended —

(a)

by deleting paragraph 2 and substituting the following paragraph:

“2. The fees for any licence issued under the Act on or after 1st April 1996, other than a licence issued in respect of poisons included in Part I of the Poisons List, shall be $62.50 for 3 months or part thereof subject to a maximum of $500 for 2 years.”; and

(b)

by deleting sub-paragraph (a) of paragraph 4 and substituting the following sub-paragraph:

“(a)	$30 in respect of poisons included in Part I of the Poisons List from 1st April 1996 to 30th September 1997, and $35 on or after 1st October 1997; and”.
