Pensions (Amendment) Regulations 2014

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6(1) of the Pensions Act, the President hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Pensions (Amendment) Regulations 2014 and shall come into operation on 1 January 2015.

Amendment of regulation 5

2. Regulation 5 of the Pensions Regulations in the First Schedule to the Act is amended by deleting the full‑stop at the end of paragraph (f) and substituting a semi‑colon, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraph:

“(g)	any period during which he is required to serve in a non-pensionable office established under the Constitution and regulation 25 does not apply.”.

Amendment of regulation 25

3. The Pensions Regulations in the First Schedule to the Act are amended by renumbering regulation 25 as paragraph (1) of that regulation, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraph:

“(2) This regulation does not apply to an officer who, immediately before 1 January 2015, is in a pensionable office established under the Constitution and who is transferred, on or after that date to a non‑pensionable office established under the Constitution.”.
