Control Order) (Amendment No. 11)
Regulations 2021

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 34(1) of the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) Act 2020, the Minister for Health makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Sporting Events and Activities — Control Order) (Amendment No. 11) Regulations 2021 and come into operation on 10 November 2021.

Amendment of regulation 2

2. Regulation 2(1) of the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Sporting Events and Activities — Control Order) Regulations 2021 (G.N. No. S 277/2021) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “reserved playing area” in paragraph (a) of the definition of “spectator” and substituting the words “reserved playing space”; and

(b)

by deleting the full‑stop at the end of the definition of “unmasked” and substituting a semi‑colon, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following definition:

“ “unmasking concession for public speaking” has the meaning given by the Main Control Order.”.

Amendment of regulation 15

3. Regulation 15(1) of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting sub‑paragraph (c) and substituting the following sub‑paragraph:

“(c)

to ensure that the total number of countable persons within the reserved playing space in the sports venue where the major sporting event takes place or is to take place does not exceed —

(i)	50 where the major sporting event is a spectator sporting event; or
(ii)	100 where the major sporting event is a participation sporting event;”.

Miscellaneous amendments

4.—(1) The principal Regulations are amended by deleting “50” in the following provisions and substituting in each case “100”:

Regulation 4(1)(a)

Regulation 5(4)(a).

(2) The principal Regulations are amended by deleting “3” in the following provisions and substituting in each case “2”:

Regulation 4(1)(b)(ii)

Regulation 14(1)(d), (e) and (f)(iii)
