Oil Pollution) (Compulsory Insurance)
(Amendment) Regulations 2023
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 32(1) of the Merchant Shipping (Civil Liability and Compensation for Oil Pollution) Act 1998, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Merchant Shipping (Civil Liability and Compensation for Oil Pollution) (Compulsory Insurance) (Amendment) Regulations 2023 and come into operation on 1 January 2024.
Amendment of regulation 6
2.  In the Merchant Shipping (Civil Liability and Compensation for Oil Pollution) (Compulsory Insurance) Regulations (Rg 1), in regulation 6 —
(a)in paragraph (1), replace “Without affecting paragraph (2), the” with “The”; and
(b)delete paragraph (2).
Amendment of Schedule
3.  In the Merchant Shipping (Civil Liability and Compensation for Oil Pollution) (Compulsory Insurance) Regulations, in the Schedule —
(a)replace the Schedule reference with —
Regulations 3 and 6”;
(b)in item 2, in the second column, replace “$25.92” with “$26.16”; and
(c)in item 4, in the second column, replace “$15.12” with “$15.26”.
