(Amendment) Regulations 2023

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 31(1) of the Merchant Shipping (Wreck Removal) Act 2017, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Merchant Shipping (Wreck Removal) (Compulsory Insurance) (Amendment) Regulations 2023 and come into operation on 1 January 2024.

Amendment of regulation 6

2. In the Merchant Shipping (Wreck Removal) (Compulsory Insurance) Regulations 2017 (G.N. No. S 500/2017), in regulation 6 —

(a)	in paragraph (1), replace “Without affecting paragraph (2), the” with “The”; and
(b)	delete paragraph (2).

Amendment of Schedule

3. In the Merchant Shipping (Wreck Removal) (Compulsory Insurance) Regulations 2017, in the Schedule —

(a)	in item 2, in the second column, replace “$32.40” with “$32.70”; and
(b)	in item 4, in the second column, replace “$15.12” with “$15.26”.
