Stamp Duties (Transfer of HDB Flats Within the Family) Remission (Amendment) Order 2005

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 74 of the Stamp Duties Act, the Minister for Finance hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Stamp Duties (Transfer of HDB Flats within the Family) Remission (Amendment) Order 2005 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2006.

Deletion and substitution of paragraph 3

2. Paragraph 3 of the Stamp Duties (Transfer of HDB Flats within the Family) Remission Order (O 2) is deleted and the following paragraph substituted therefor:

“Remission of duty in cases of transfer of HDB flats within family

3. There shall be remitted any duty in excess of $10, being duty determined in accordance with Article 3 (a) of the First Schedule to the Act on any instrument relating to the transfer of any Housing and Development Board flat made in compliance with the conditions set out in the Schedule.”.
