Town Council of Jalan Besar (Fee for Late Payment of Conservancy and Service Charges) (Amendment) By-laws 2002

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24(1) of the Town Councils Act, the Town Council for the Town of Jalan Besar hereby makes the following By-laws:

Citation and commencement

1. These By-laws may be cited as the Town Council of Jalan Besar (Fee for Late Payment of Conservancy and Service Charges) (Amendment) By-laws 2002 and shall come into operation on 26th February 2002.

New by-law 4

2. The Town Council of Jalan Besar (Fee for Late Payment of Conservancy and Service Charges) By-laws (By 65) are amended by inserting, immediately after by-law 3, the following by-law:

“Application of By-laws to any area of former Town of City Centre

4. With effect from 26th February 2002, these By-laws shall apply to any tenant or owner of any flat in any residential or commercial property, or any stall in any market or food centre of the Board within any area of the former Town of City Centre which is now comprised in the Town of Jalan Besar by virtue of the Town Councils (Declaration of Towns) Order 2001 (G.N. No. S 563/2001).”.
