(Amendment No. 9) Regulations 2021

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 34(1) of the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) Act 2020, the Minister for Health makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) (Religious Gatherings — Control Order) (Amendment No. 9) Regulations 2021 and come into operation on 1 January 2022.

Amendment of regulation 3

2. Regulation 3 of the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) (Religious Gatherings — Control Order) Regulations 2021 (G.N. No. S 509/2021) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations) is amended —

(a)	by deleting the words “Mass Gathering Testing for Coronavirus Disease 2019” in the definition of “approved test” in paragraph (1) and substituting the words “COVID‑19 Access Restrictions and Clearance”; and
(b)	by deleting the words “Mass Gathering Testing for Coronavirus Disease 2019” in paragraph (4) and substituting the words “COVID‑19 Access Restrictions and Clearance”.

Amendment of regulation 5

3. Regulation 5(1) of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “Mass Gathering Testing for Coronavirus Disease 2019” in sub‑paragraph (a) and substituting the words “COVID‑19 Access Restrictions and Clearance”.

Amendment of regulation 8

4. Regulation 8 of the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)	by deleting the words “, unless there are also present, in the venue during that crowd management period, other worshippers who are uncleared juniors which are not below the maximum permissible number of uncleared juniors for the venue during that crowd management period” in paragraph (2)(b); and
(b)	by deleting paragraph (3).

Amendment of regulation 13

5. Regulation 13(2) of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “and 13E of the Main Control Order” and substituting the words “and 12 of the Main Control Order, regulation 19 of the Workplace Safety and Health (COVID‑19 Safe Workplace) Regulations 2021 (G.N. No. S 992/2021)”.

Amendment of regulation 15

6. Regulation 15(2) of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “Mass Gathering Testing for Coronavirus Disease 2019” and substituting the words “COVID‑19 Access Restrictions and Clearance”.

Amendment of regulation 28A

7. Regulation 28A(1) of the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)	by deleting the words “a cleared status (limited) that is current under the Infectious Diseases (Mass Gathering Testing for Coronavirus Disease 2019) Regulations 2021” in sub‑paragraph (b)(i) and substituting the words “a 24‑hour clearance within the meaning of the Workplace Safety and Health (COVID‑19 Safe Workplace) Regulations 2021”; and
(b)	by deleting the words “Mass Gathering Testing for Coronavirus Disease 2019” in sub‑paragraph (b)(ii) and substituting the words “COVID‑19 Access Restrictions and Clearance”.
