Arbitration (Appointed Persons under Section 59A) Order 2009
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 59A(1) of the Arbitration Act, the Minister for Law hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order may be cited as the Arbitration (Appointed Persons under Section 59A) Order 2009 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2010.
Definition
2.  In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires, “Convention country” has the same meaning as in section 27(1) of the International Arbitration Act (Cap. 143A).
Appointment of persons to authenticate awards and certify copies of awards and arbitration agreements
3.  For the purposes of the enforcement of an award in any Convention country, the Minister hereby appoints the following persons to authenticate the original award and certify copies thereof and to certify copies of the original arbitration agreement:
(a)the Registrar and Deputy Registrar of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre;
(b)the Chief Executive and Deputy Chief Executive of Maxwell Chambers Private Limited.
