PART I

PRELIMINARY

Citation

1. These Rules may be cited as the Arms and Explosives (Explosives) Rules.

Definitions

2. In these Rules, unless the context otherwise requires —

“Inspector of Explosives” means the Director of Scientific Services, and includes any person appointed by the President to act in the capacity of an inspector and such person shall be under the direction and control of the Director of Scientific Services;

“Port Master” has the same meaning as in the Port of Singapore Authority Act;

“powder van” includes any carriage specially built and approved of by the Railway Administration for the conveyance of explosives.
