PART I

PRELIMINARY

Citation

1. These Rules may be cited as the Arms and Explosives (Explosives) Rules.

Definitions

2. In these Rules, unless the context otherwise requires —

“Health Sciences Authority” means the Health Sciences Authority established under the Health Sciences Authority Act 2001;

“Inspector of Explosives” means —

(a)	an analyst employed by the Health Sciences Authority; or
(b)	any other suitably qualified person,

who is appointed by the Minister to be an Inspector of Explosives for the purposes of these Rules;

“Port Master” has the same meaning as in the Port of Singapore Authority Act;

“powder van” includes any carriage specially built and approved of by the Railway Administration for the conveyance of explosives.
