Citation and commencement |
1. This Order may be cited as the Building Control (Retrofitting of Casement Windows) Order 2004 and shall come into operation on 1st October 2004. |

3. This Order shall apply to casement windows which —

5. For the purposes of section 22B(1) of the Act, where any casement window to which this Order applies has been installed on or forms part of a building before 1st October 2004, the person responsible for that casement window shall engage an approved window contractor to carry out retrofitting of that casement window —

6.—(1) Subject to paragraph (1A), no person shall retrofit any casement window unless —

7.—(1) Every approved window contractor and every trained window installer engaged to carry out retrofitting of any casement window shall —

Retrofitting report |
8. The person responsible shall, as soon as is reasonably practicable after the retrofitting works under paragraph 5 have been completed, submit a report of the completed retrofitting works to the Commissioner of Building Control, in such form as the Commissioner of Building Control shall determine. |
