Methods of Valuation of Currency Fund and Its Assets

The Board of Commissioners of Currency, Singapore, has, with the approval of the President, adopted the following methods of valuation of the Currency Fund and its assets:
(a)Gold bought before 1st January 1981 shall be valued at US$42.22 per troy oz;
(b)Gold bought after 1st January 1981 shall be valued at the market-related price as at 31st December;
(c)Foreign assets including silver shall be valued at the closing market prices as at 31st December; and
(d)Conversion into Singapore dollars shall be done at the closing market-related exchange rates as at 31st December.
