Common Gaming Houses
(Exemption) Notification 2012

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Common Gaming Houses Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. These Notification may be cited as the Common Gaming Houses (Exemption) Notification 2012 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st January 2012.

Exemption

2.—(1) The Minister hereby exempts Marina Bay Sands Pte. Ltd. from the provisions of the Act in respect of the “CELEBRATE YEAR OF THE DRAGON PROMOTION” to be held from 1st January 2012 to 5th February 2012 (both dates inclusive) and comprising the following draws:

(a)	the “Dragon of Fortune” daily kiosk game to be held from 1st January 2012 to 2nd February 2012 (both dates inclusive) between 6 a.m. and 10.25 p.m. each day at designated kiosks within the premises of Marina Bay Sands outside its casino;
(b)	the “Dragon of Fortune Finale” draw called the “Dragon Instant Win” to be held from 6 a.m. on 3rd February 2012 to 8.55 p.m. on 5th February 2012 at B2 level of the Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands; and
(c)	the “Dragon of Fortune Finale” draw called the “Money Dragon Draw” to be held daily at 10 p.m. between 3rd February 2012 and 5th February 2012 (both dates inclusive) at B2 level of the Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.

(2) The exemption is subject to compliance by Marina Bay Sands Pte. Ltd. with the conditions specified in the Schedule.
