(Exemption) (No. 40)
Notification 2015
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Common Gaming Houses Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Notification:
Citation
1.  This Notification may be cited as the Common Gaming Houses (Exemption) (No. 40) Notification 2015.
Definition
2.  In this Notification, “organisers” means —
(a)the Pek Kio Active Ageing Committee; and
(b)the Pek Kio Senior Citizens’ Executive Committee.
Exemption
3.—(1)  The Minister exempts the organisers from the provisions of the Act in respect of —
(a)the “Mahjong Competition” promotion to be held from 1 August 2015 to 6 September 2015 (both dates inclusive) and from 10 September 2015 to 10 October 2015 (both dates inclusive); and

(b)the mahjong games to be held at the multi-purpose hall of Tanglin Community Club from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on 10 October 2015.

(2)  The exemption is subject to compliance by the organisers with the conditions specified in the Schedule.
