Notification 2012

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Common Gaming Houses Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation

1. This Notification may be cited as the Common Gaming Houses (Exemption) (No. 42) Notification 2012.

Exemption

2.—(1) The Minister hereby exempts Marina Bay Sands Pte. Ltd. from the provisions of the Act in respect of the “Paiza Big Draw” promotion to be held from 27th October 2012 to 29th December 2013 (both dates inclusive) and the lucky draws to be held daily at 8 p.m., 9 p.m. and 10 p.m., respectively, at Paiza Atrium 2 of Marina Bay Sands during the following periods:

(a)	from 27th October 2012 to 28th October 2012 (both dates inclusive);
(b)	from 24th November 2012 to 25th November 2012 (both dates inclusive);
(c)	from 29th December 2012 to 30th December 2012 (both dates inclusive);
(d)	from 26th January 2013 to 27th January 2013 (both dates inclusive);
(e)	from 23rd February 2013 to 24th February 2013 (both dates inclusive);
(f)	from 30th March 2013 to 31st March 2013 (both dates inclusive);
(g)	from 27th April 2013 to 28th April 2013 (both dates inclusive);
(h)	from 25th May 2013 to 26th May 2013 (both dates inclusive);
(i)	from 29th June 2013 to 30th June 2013 (both dates inclusive);
(j)	from 27th July 2013 to 28th July 2013 (both dates inclusive);
(k)	from 24th August 2013 to 25th August 2013 (both dates inclusive);
(l)	from 28th September 2013 to 29th September 2013 (both dates inclusive);
(m)	from 26th October 2013 to 27th October 2013 (both dates inclusive);
(n)	from 23rd November 2013 to 24th November 2013 (both dates inclusive); and
(o)	from 28th December 2013 to 29th December 2013 (both dates inclusive).

(2) The exemption is subject to compliance by Marina Bay Sands Pte. Ltd. with the conditions specified in the Schedule.
