(Exemption) (No. 43)
Notification 2017

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Common Gaming Houses Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Notification:

Citation

1. This Notification is the Common Gaming Houses (Exemption) (No. 43) Notification 2017.

Definition

2. In this Notification, “organisers” means —

(a)	“The Serangoon” Community Club Management Committee;
(b)	the Hwi Yoh Court Residents’ Committee;
(c)	the Hwi Yoh Ville Residents’ Committee;
(d)	the Hwi Yoh Garden Residents’ Committee;
(e)	the Hwi Yoh Green Residents’ Committee;
(f)	the Boundary Ville Residents’ Committee;
(g)	the Serangoon Green Residents’ Committee;
(h)	the Rosyth Neighbourhood Committee;
(i)	the Hillside Neighbourhood Committee;
(j)	the Hwan Gardens Neighbourhood Committee;
(k)	the Serangoon Garden Neighbourhood Committee; and
(l)	the Chartwell Neighbourhood Committee.

Exemption

3.—(1) The Minister exempts the organisers from the provisions of the Act in respect of —

(a)	the “Serangoon Mahjong Challenge 2017” promotion to be held from 25 September 2017 to 5 November 2017 (both dates inclusive); and
(b)	the mahjong games to be held at the multi‑purpose hall of “The Serangoon” Community Club from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on 5 November 2017.

(2) The exemption is subject to compliance by the organisers with the conditions specified in the Schedule.
