(Exemption) (No. 39)
Notification 2018
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Common Gaming Houses Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Notification:
Citation
1.  This Notification is the Common Gaming Houses (Exemption) (No. 39) Notification 2018.
Definition
2.  In this Notification, “organisers” means —
(a)the Kebun Baru Senior Citizens’ Executive Committee;
(b)the Kebun Baru Active Ageing Committee; and
(c)the Kebun Baru Spring Residents’ Committee.
Exemption
3.—(1)  The Minister exempts the organisers from the provisions of the Act in respect of —
(a)the “Kebun Baru Mahjong Challenge 2018” promotion to be held from 20 September 2018 to 7 October 2018 (both dates inclusive); and
(b)the mahjong games to be held at the multi‑purpose hall of Kebun Baru Community Club from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on 7 October 2018.
(2)  The exemption is subject to compliance by the organisers with the conditions specified in the Schedule.
