(Exemption) (No. 58)
Notification 2014

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Common Gaming Houses Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation

1. This Notification may be cited as the Common Gaming Houses (Exemption) (No. 58) Notification 2014.

Definition

2. In this Notification, “organisers” means —

(a)	the Tampines West Active Ageing Committee;
(b)	the Tampines Grove Residents’ Committee;
(c)	the Tampines Palmspring Residents’ Committee;
(d)	the Tampines Park Residents’ Committee;
(e)	the Tampines Polyview Residents’ Committee; and
(f)	the Tampines Terrace Residents’ Committee.

Exemption

3.—(1) The Minister hereby exempts the organisers from the provisions of the Act in respect of the “Tampines West Mahjong Competition 2014” promotion to be held from 12 September 2014 to 8 November 2014 (both dates inclusive) and from 9 November 2014 to 29 November 2014 (both dates inclusive) and the mahjong games to be held on 29 November 2014 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the multi-purpose hall of Tampines West Community Club.

(2) The exemption is subject to compliance by the organisers with the conditions specified in the Schedule.
