| Citation and commencement |
| 1. These Regulations are the Criminal Procedure Code (Service on Singapore Prison Service for Application relating to Stay of Execution) Regulations 2024 and come into operation on 28 June 2024. |
| Mode of service on Singapore Prison Service for application relating to stay of execution |
2. For the purposes of section 313(1)(ia)(ii) of the Code and subject to regulation 3, an application for permission to apply for a stay of execution or an application for a stay of execution must be served on the Singapore Prison Service by delivering a copy of the application personally to an officer of the Singapore Prison Service not later than 6 p.m. of the day immediately before the date that the execution is scheduled —

| Exemption from service |
| 3. The requirement for service on the Singapore Prison Service in section 313(1)(ia)(ii) of the Code does not apply where the Singapore Prison Service assists an applicant to file the application for permission to apply for a stay of execution or the application for a stay of execution, as the case may be. |
