Citation
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Rent Conciliation Board Rules.
Sittings of Board
2.  The Board shall sit at the District Court on such days as may from time to time be appointed by the Board.
Applications to Board
3.  An application to the Board shall be made by summons substantially in the Form I in the Schedule.
Summons to be filed and served
4.  The summons shall be prepared by the applicant and filed in the District Court with as many copies as there are parties to be served and service shall be effected by the District Court process server.
Service
5.—(1)  The summons shall be served on every person affected thereby 4 clear days before the day fixed for the hearing unless the President of the Board gives leave for shorter service.
(2)  Service shall be effected in accordance with the rules for service for the time being in force in the District Court.
(3)  The practice of the District Court as to substituted service of summonses and notices shall apply to summonses under these Rules.
(4)  Oral application for substituted service shall be made to the President of the Board and the order on such application shall be made by him.
Decision of Board
6.  When the Board has given its decision on any application, a certificate of the determination of the Board substantially in the Form II in the Schedule shall be prepared and signed by the President of the Board.
Practice and procedure of District Court to apply to Board
7.  Subject to the Act and these Rules, the practice and procedure of the District Court in an action and in particular the practice and procedure with respect to the summoning of witnesses and with respect to discovery and inspection of documents shall with any necessary modifications apply to applications to the Board.
