Co-operative Societies (Exemption) Order 2003

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 97 of the Co-operative Societies Act, the Minister for Community Development and Sports hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Co-operative Societies (Exemption) Order 2003 and shall come into operation on 8th July 2003.

Exemption

2. The Singapore Police Co-operative Society Ltd is hereby exempted from section 67(1) of the Act so as to enable it to grant loans of $5.75 million (secured) and $100,000 (unsecured) to the Singapore Police Co-operative Club.
