The Minister for Finance has directed that the Registrar of Companies shall not accept for registration under the Act —

(a)	the word “Raffles” in any company name if the activities of the company involve the operation of a hotel, motel or lodging-house; [S 411/90] [20.10.89]
(b)	the names “Singapore Port Institute” and “World Trade Centre Singapore” in any company name; and [S 480/89] [15.12.89]
(c)	the word “Temasek” in any company name unless the company or proposed company is a related corporation, as defined in section 4(1) of the Act, of Temasek Holdings (Pte.) Ltd. (Registration No. 197401143C). [S 265/91] [14.6.91]
