Employment (Extension of December 2001 Revised Wage Guidelines) Notification 2003
Whereas the National Wages Council (hereinafter referred to as NWC) has recommended to the Government to extend the Revised Wage Guidelines 2001 set out in the Schedule to the Employment (Revised Wage Guidelines) Notification 2002 (G.N. No. S 2/2002) for 6 months for the period commencing 1st January 2003 and ending on 30th June 2003 (both dates inclusive) the text of which is set out in the Schedule:
And Whereas the Government has accepted that recommendation:
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 49 of the Employment Act, the Minister for Manpower hereby makes the following Notification:
Citation
1.  This Notification may be cited as the Employment (Extension of December 2001 Revised Wage Guidelines) Notification 2003.
Extension of December 2001 revised wage guidelines
2.  The Revised Wage Guidelines 2001 set out in the Schedule to the Employment (Revised Wage Guidelines) Notification 2002 which may be adopted by an employer to adjust the wage of an employee for the period commencing on 1st January 2003 and ending on 30th June 2003 (both dates inclusive) shall be in accordance with the recommendations of the NWC as set out in the Schedule.
