Futures Trading (Exempt Futures Market) Declaration 2000
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3(3) of the Futures Trading Act, the Monetary Authority of Singapore hereby makes the following Declaration:
Citation
1.  This Declaration may be cited as the Futures Trading (Exempt Futures Market) Declaration 2000.
Definitions
2.  In this Declaration —
“CME” means the Chicago Mercantile Exchange that operates as a futures exchange organised under the laws of the United States of America;
“SBF” means the Societe Des Bourses Francaises that operates as a futures exchange organised under the laws of France;
“NYMEX” means the New York Mercantile Exchange that operates as a futures exchange organised under the laws of the United States of America.
Exemption
3.  The futures markets of CME, SBF and NYMEX are exempt from the prohibition under section 3(1) of the Act with effect from 17th February 2000, subject to the requirements, conditions and restrictions imposed by the Authority in the letters of approval issued in respect of the respective futures exchanges.
