(Delegation of Powers — Ministry of Law)
Notification 2012

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 36(1) of the Interpretation Act, the Minister for Law, with the approval of the President, hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Interpretation (Delegation of Powers — Ministry of Law) Notification 2012 and shall come into operation on 1st November 2012.

Delegation of powers to Second Minister

1A. The Minister for Law deputes the Second Minister for Law to exercise the powers of the Minister under —

(a)	section 26 of the Land Acquisition Act 1966; and
(b)	section 4 of the Land Surveyors Act 1991.

Delegation of powers to Senior Minister of State

2. The Minister for Law hereby deputes the Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Law, to exercise the powers of the Minister under —

(a)	[Deleted by S 275/2023 wef 21/11/2021]
(b)	sections 249, 252, 253, 255 and 256 of the Criminal Procedure Code 2010; [S 275/2023 wef 31/12/2021]
(c)	section 26 of the Land Acquisition Act 1966; and [S 275/2023 wef 31/12/2021]
(d)	section 4 of the Land Surveyors Act 1991. [S 275/2023 wef 31/12/2021]

Cancellation

3. The Interpretation (Delegation of Powers — Ministry of Law) (No. 2) Notification 2011 (G.N. No. S 504/2011) is cancelled.
