Trade Development Board (Textile Levy) Order

Citation
1.  This Order may be cited as the Trade Development Board (Textile Levy) Order.
Levy
2.—(1)  A levy shall be imposed on all textiles which are exported under the Textile Quota Allocation System to any of the countries specified in the Schedule.
(2)  Where textile quotas for the export of textiles to any of the countries in the Schedule are allocated by tender, the levy for each category of textile shall be based on the lowest of the successful tender price accepted by the Board for that category as was the current practice under the Textile Quota Allocation System which took effect from 1st December 1987 by the Trade Development Board (Textile Levy) Order made on 10th November 1987.

(3)  Where textile quotas for the export of textiles to any of the countries in the Schedule are allocated to exporters on the basis of their past performance, the levy for each category of textile shall be based on the lowest of the successful tender price accepted by the Board subject to a maximum of 0.75% of the average industry export price for that category.

(4)  The amount of the levy referred to in sub-paragraphs (2) and (3) shall be paid by the exporter of the textiles.
