Income Tax (Approved Banks) Order 1998

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 13(9) of the Income Tax Act, the Minister for Finance hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Income Tax (Approved Banks) Order 1998 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 26th June 1998.

Approved bank

2. UBS AG is hereby approved as an “approved bank” for the purposes of section 13(1)(t) of the Act.

Amendment of Consolidation Order

3. The Income Tax (Approved Banks) (Consolidation) Order (O 32) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the following words in item (11):

“(a)	Swiss Bank Corporation

30th April 1975.”; and

(b)

by deleting item (28).
