Income Tax (Exemption of Interest and Other Payments for Economic and Technological Development Loans) (No. 8) Notification 2005

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 13(4) of the Income Tax Act, the Minister for Finance hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation

1. This Notification may be cited as the Income Tax (Exemption of Interest and Other Payments for Economic and Technological Development Loans) (No. 8) Notification 2005.

Exemption

2. There shall be exempt from tax the payments by Lenovo (Singapore) Pte Ltd from 1st May 2005 to 30th April 2010 (both dates inclusive) to —

(a)	IBM (US) for services rendered under the Transition Services Agreement and the Marketing Support Agreement; and
(b)	related Lenovo parties for services rendered in area of Research & Development and Regional Headquarters’ functions.
