Massage Establishments Act
(Chapter 173)
Massage Establishments (Exemption) Order 2004
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 11 of the Massage Establishments Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order may be cited as the Massage Establishments (Exemption) Order 2004 and shall come into operation on 20th September 2004.
Exemption
2.  The Minister hereby exempts, from the requirement under section 4(1) of the Act for a licence to carry on an establishment for massage, any premises in which only curative massage or other curative treatment is or may be administered personally by
(a)a physiotherapist who is a member of the Singapore Physiotherapy Association; or
(b)a person who is registered as a traditional Chinese medicine physician under section 14 of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Act (Cap. 333A) and who has in force a practising certificate issued under section 17 of that Act,
whether or not in full view of all customers resorting thereto.
