Cessation of Lock-ups As Places of Confinement
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4(1) of the Prisons Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby cancels, with effect from 3rd June 2005, the appointment of the lock-ups at the following police stations as places for the confinement of persons awaiting trial or remanded or sentenced to imprisonment for a period not exceeding one month:
(1)Criminal Investigation Department
(2)Criminal Investigation Department 90 Eu Tong Sen Street Singapore 059811
(3)Toa Payoh Neighbourhood Police Centre 2 Toa Payoh Lorong 4 Singapore 319518.
2.—(1)  The Notification relating to the Appointment of Lock-ups to be Places of Confinement (N 1) is amended by deleting item (5).
(2)  The Notification relating to the Appointment of Lock-ups to be Places of Confinement (G.N. No. S 222/2003) is amended by deleting items (1) and (5).
