Public Entertainments (Exemption) Order 1997

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 15 of the Public Entertainments Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Public Entertainments (Exemption) Order 1997 and shall come into operation on 21st February 1997.

Exemption

2. The following classes of public entertainments are exempted from the provisions of the Act:

(a)	any performances, workshops and lectures organised by the Singapore Arts Centre Company Limited in any place to which the public or any class of the public has access, whether gratuitously or otherwise; and
(b)	any exhibitions organised and pin-tables installed at the Energy Conservation and Exhibition Centre operated by Power Supply Limited.

Made this 1st day of February 1997.
